Hasimi, who is the Head of Strategy and Internal Audit at ASFAT (Military Factories and Shipyards Inc.), serves as the Minister's Advisor to the Ministry of National Defense.
Hasimi graduated from the Department of Sociology at Middle East Technical University and did his master's degree in the Political Science program at Bilkent University. After completing his master's degree in International Relations with high honors at the University of Manchester (England), he completed his doctorate in Political Science and International Relations at Johns Hopkins University (USA). He has conducted academic studies on political theory, international relations theories, terrorism, security, international politics, European history and the European Union.
Between 2010 and 2018, he served in the former Prime Ministry as Advisor to the Prime Ministry, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister, General Director of Press-Broadcasting and Information, and Prime Ministry Public Diplomacy Coordinator on different dates. Between 2018 and 2023, he served as Presidential advisor and General Coordinator at the Presidency of Defense Industries. He was a member of the board of directors of Press Advertisement Institution and ULAK company.
