Our company, which was established on September 1, 1966 as Turkey's first steel construction workshop, has accomplished countless projects since its establishment. Our company, which is in the steel structure industry as a subsidiary of Kardemir A.Ş., titled "The Factory That Makes Factories", completed the year 2021 with a record production.
Serving all over Turkey in the fields of structural steel, mechanical manufacturing and construction, Karçel A.Ş. has managed to exceed the production figures it has achieved since its establishment and ended 2021 with 22,412 tons. In addition to our domestic work, our export activities abroad have a great role in this historical record achieved.
Our steel structure factory, which has a closed area of approximately 36.000 m2 and an open area of 30.000 m2, is equipped with CNC, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic modern workbenches and 104 bridge cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 50 tons. It is one of the largest steel structure factories. With its experienced technical and qualified staff who have the qualifications to manufacture steel structure constructions of all types and characters, our company will continue its ongoing projects in 2022 and its efforts to set new records at full speed.
Our company, which has managed to enter the approved supplier lists of companies such as THYSSENKRUPP, KWANSOO, SIEMPELKAMP, OUTOTEC and BEDESCHI SPA and many powerful global companies involved in international projects, in order to increase efficiency and sustainability in production, steel manufacturing and production in accordance with Russian Federation regulation standards in the field of nuclear energy in Turkey. became the first company to have the "Conformity Assessment Certificate" for assembly works and added the American Institute of Steel Construcion certificate, which is valid in America, Canada, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and many countries, to its portfolio in the field of steel construction bridges.
In addition to Turkey's first Zinc Smelting facility, which we completed as we approach the end of 2021, many of our projects continue. We continue to contribute to our country's exports with Ford Otosan, Turkey's first integrated electric vehicle production facility in Turkey, and Iraq Erbil Steelworks Building abroad, Senegal Stadium Canopy steel manufacturing, refinery modernization in Thailand and hotel structural steel manufacturing in Benin.
